TEAM – Teaching Effectively for All in Mathematics

Transitioning to a Virtual Classroom?

MC² is here to offer support for educators in the move to an online teaching and learning environment. For more information, click on the buttons below and here to let us know how we can help.

The Mathematically Connected Communities – Teaching Effectively for All in Mathematics (MC2-TEAM) model is designed in partnership with mathematicians, math education specialists, researchers, and practitioners from across New Mexico (NM). The MC2-TEAM model builds the capacity of partner school districts to effectively implement the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS-M)
EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION means:

  • All students actively engage in rich mathematics content and the CCSS-M Standards for Mathematical Practice
  • All teachers of  mathematics collaborate in teams with other teachers to develop their math content knowledge and teaching practice
  • Stakeholders (district administrators, principals, teachers, students, and parents) are able to articulate the expectations of the district’s K-12 mathematics program and actively assess and modify what is or is not working to support student and teacher learning

REC 3, 4, 6, HOBBS, & Tatum DISTRICTS are eligible to participate.
