The
intention of Math New Mexico is to provide a single
site where everyone in the state can go to get information about all
mathematics education efforts in New Mexico. The site is dedicated to
reversing achievement trends in math in New Mexico. We can no longer
be last!
Information
is organized in several ways. The menu on the left side will take
you to the many Mathematics Education Organizations
and their web sites. Of particular interest on this menu is the
Standards-Based
Resources site. Resources, lessons, and other materials are
organized by state standards for ease of use by teachers and administrators.
Teacher
Certification Options include links to online and face-to-face
classes for teachers, either to become highly qualified, for enrollment
in a masters program, or for professional enrichment. There are also
sites that provide access to upcoming conferences and events,
to professional development providers, to assessments,
and to Lesson
Study support.
Another
means of access to be offered in the future will be materials of specific interest to parents,
teachers,
administrators,
and business and community leaders.
This is a new site so please be patient as we add new information. If
you would like to add your site or new information or have questions
or concerns please contact our web team: Sheila Hills (sshills@nmsu.edu)
or Cuauhtemoc Luna (cluna@nmsu.edu).
Funding is provided by the Math/Science Partnership (MSP) through the
Public Education Department. Thank you for participating.
